2016 Informational Meeting

The annual informational meeting for Forest Glen will be held on March 24st, at 5:30 p.m. at Indian Hills Country Club.  At the meeting, Mr. Thompson will answer any questions you may have.

The pool will open on March 14th.  If you are a new homeowner and you do not have a pool key or if you bought a home from a previous owner, please contact Duckworth-Morris Real Estate. Once a house is sold the current key is deactivated until the new owner contacts our office.  Also, if you are behind on your Association dues you will be unable to use the pool until the Association has received at least half of the 2016 dues.  It takes a minimum of 72 hours to activate a key and keys will only be activated on Tuesdays and Fridays.  That means if you pay your dues on a Friday, do not expect to be able to use the pool that weekend. The pool is open from 9:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. and keys will not work before 9:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m.  Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are not allowed in the pool area or on the common areas and pets are not allowed inside the pool area. Please limit guest to 3 per household and pool parties are not allowed.  Please make sure that you read the rules and regulations concerning the pool and also remember that you are responsible for your guests and their actions.

Duckworth-Morris is always looking for ways to help Forest Glen save money. One way is to reduce the expense on postage. Currently, the Association is spending on average $210.00 per mail out. Starting this year, you will notice signs at both entrances informing you about new notifications concerning the neighborhood and the signs will be removed after three days.  This will include social events, meetings and the yearly budgets. By posting signs at the entrance instead of mail outs, the association would save over $500.00 per year on postage and envelopes. Please visit and click on the Associations tab. When you enter the Forest Glen page, you will notice the Covenants and Restrictions, By-Laws, and notifications. For the annual meeting, the documents require owners to be notified through mail.

The Board would like to remind each homeowner that with spring just around the corner, it is their responsibility to properly maintain their lawns.  The management company will notify a homeowner in violation and that homeowner will have 10 days to correct the issue.  This also includes shrubbery and flower beds around the house.

With warmer weather, homeowners begin taking pets on walks.  Please clean up after your pet and your pet should be on a leash at all times. Letting a pet run unsupervised is a liability and Forest Glen wants to make sure that the neighborhood is friendly for children to play. Also, please remember to put up your trash cans the same day the trash has been picked up. It’s also important to store your trash can in place that’s not highly visible from the street.

When possible, please do not park on the streets.  It is a nuisance for the surrounding homeowners having to avoid your vehicle.  The Board understands that sometimes there will be overflow and cars will have to be parked on the street.  However, some homeowners continuously park on the street when their driveway is clear.

As a remainder, the Easter extravaganza is March 20th.  This is a great chance to socialize and meet your neighbors and like most events, volunteers are needed so please plan on helping by coming to the common area one hour before the event.  It only takes a few minutes if enough volunteers show up and like always, it is a fun event for the children.  Also, the annual garage sale will be April 2nd.  An e-mail will be sent out to remind the homeowners.
